Most of the time the things we do or tend to focus our energy onto, are principally a result of our “thought processes.” We tend to incline onto “specific things” when we feel like doing them or when we conform ourselves to the conditions of not “stepping out of the comfort zone,” but the real deal is when we do the opposite of the former. We are so conditioned and habitual to working or enacting in a particular manner such that we limit our psyche processes to a minimalist construct. Rather, if we just even think of pursuing something out of the ordinary we incline to get embarked by anxiety. In this extract, we shall have a look at ways to stop letting your mind limit or define you.
It all begins in the mind and it all ends there. Our mind is like an uncontrollable rollercoaster that takes us on a ride often out of the blues! We are slaves to our mind, so much so that we believe deeply or overthink about the thought processes that parade in the back of our heads, despite them being positive or negative. We might think of superficial things or create unrealistic scenarios in our heads where we might fathom ourselves being limited to a particular standpoint. For example: If you believe and think that you are an average student who can’t succeed in a competitive exam yet you push your boundaries, work smart and finally succeed in that competitive exam. Now, in this scenario what has happened is it was just your “thinking” of you being an average student and not an ultimate “fact.” So now you realize that it was your mind that controlled you or rather it was the way you habituated and conditioned yourself to think that you were an average student but it was your “smart work” and “perseverance” that prevented your mind from limiting or defining you.
Another way to stop letting your mind limit or define you is by having confidence, belief, and trust in yourself. Look, we are humans and we can’t have control of what we think, rather we can segregate between the good and the bad, by choosing the best thought that comes to our mind. You are never enough, but you are more than enough! Everyone is capable of doing things, only if they decide and have a strong urge of doing it and are sure about it.
Don’t let worldly glory affect you. Which means, there are people in the world whom we might “think” of as better, beautiful, smart, and talented than us but when you don’t get seduced by the worldly inclinations of perfect or don’t let your minds believe in the constructed norms of “absolute truth” as there is nothing such as a complete truth. Nobody is born perfect and not everything a person says has to be absolutely 100% true. Therefore, it’s important to broadly open the doors of our minds, for more and more self-acceptance and to stop our minds from limiting us.
