· Exercise regularly
Regular exercise is a must to increase your heart rates and breathing rate, daily exercise will make it easier for the heart to pump blood and get stronger. This puts less pressure on your arteries and lowers your blood pressure. If you aren’t able to dedicate enough time to exercise, you can at least stay active and use stairs, walk, do household chores to keep your body in movement.
· Reduce fat
Fat is the main reason for bad heart health and many heart-related diseases. So if you are overweight, you must strive to reduce your weight. Increase in weight means an increase in accumulated fat. This accumulated fat get stored around your heart makes you prone to many heart diseases.
· Eat a healthy diet
Eating a healthy diet is of much importance. Cutting down sugar and carbohydrates can be very helpful to reduce blood pressure. Also, you must avoid packed food or processed food, food with low fat has more sugar and salt to compensate for the taste. So choose your food wisely.
· Reduce the intake of sodium
Salt is your biggest enemy if you have high blood pressure. Salt contains sodium and sodium causes to increase your blood pressure.
· Quit smoking
Smoking is injurious to health, it not only affects your lungs but also immediately increases your blood pressure and heart rate. Smoking for a long term can damage your blood vessels and arteries causing higher blood pressure.
· Don’t stress too much
Stress can affect your blood pressure negatively. We all have so many stresses in life and we can’t avoid all of them but we surely can reduce unnecessary stress. Stress increases your heart rate thus increasing blood pressure.
