Ignore the DIET craze.

People who diet on a regular basis are more prone to develop eating disorders, are more likely to binge eat, and cause a cascade of physical and mental health difficulties such as sadness, irritability, anxiety, digestive problems, and metabolic syndrome. Diets don’t work – 95 percent of dieters regain the weight they lost, and in many cases gain even more. It is a simple way to look and feel good. Eating well, exercising regularly, and resting are the keys to weight loss success!

Don’t be harsh on yourself.

What you think about others is frequently the same as what you think about yourself. If you make fun of those you think are “ugly” or “overweight,” your preoccupation with your own outer appearance may become unhealthy. It is impossible to assess yourself objectively if you group people who are different from you in another column as if they are a different “type” or “species” than you.

Put your body image in context.

You may have inherited your mother’s wider hips or your father’s height and broad shoulders. Our genetics are an odd cocktail that is unique to each individual, and learning to appreciate your body is the first step in dealing with your own body size and form.

Listen to your body; it will not lie to you.

You will feel the effects of a lack of proper diet. Inability to sleep deeply, tension and worry, exhaustion and sluggishness, loss of attention, and a stronger desire for high-fat/high-sugar foods When your body is lagging, you have more cravings for caffeine and sugar. Masking poor nutrition exacerbates the problem over time.
