If you want to cope with depression then your friends and family can help if you seek out help. Depression is capable of affecting your thoughts, mood, and behavior, and even though you might be uncomfortable, asking for help is an important step to deal with it.
Many people may find it difficult to gain motivation to reach out to others because of the feelings of hopelessness, isolation, exhaustion, and withdrawal from friends and family. It is not easy to identify whether you need help or not because depression does not come at once. It may feel like you are just having a bad day or you are not feeling like yourself today. When you ask for help, you’d be able to recognize this disease.
Share your feelings with your close ones such as a family member, friend, or spouse. When you let out your feelings in such situations you are able to accept that depression is real and work towards managing it.
