· Understand fear
The reason for your fear can be anything in the world. Different people have a different kind of fear. Some are afraid of heights, some are afraid of animals, some afraid of the sea and some are in general scared because of superstitions. You must understand your fear first to deal with it. Find the cause of your fear. Is it because of some childhood experiences or an event that seems to be scary or just stories you heard? Address the cause and try to convince yourself that somethings don’t happen again and again and you should move on.
· Realise the power of fear over you
Fear is a very powerful element. If you haven’t dealt with your fear already your life revolves around the fear and you trying to avoid such a situation. Fear will make you miss on many things, whose intensity of satisfaction is much higher than that of the intensity of fear but because you have let fear control your life you are not able to enjoy such experiences.
· Identify false beliefs
Many of us believe in superstitions and it is the main cause of fear among people. False beliefs can eventually make your life hell. Identify the false beliefs, check the reason behind such beliefs on the internet and you’ll be convinced yourself that there is no such reason to be scared. Many people believe in ghosts and spirits and are scared of darkness. But when you follow science, there will be no fear of such things
· Expose yourself to fear
Expose yourself to something you are scared of unless it is harmful to your life. If you are scared of water, learn swimming and go swimming in a lake or a pool. If you are scared of ghosts watch a horror movie and not once but many times eventually you’ll lose the fear of ghosts.
· Learn relaxation techniques
When you are scared your heartbeats increases resulting in an increase of blood pressure, you must learn relaxation techniques to calm yourself down in such stressful situations and to maintain your health.
