Importance of chakras in our lives

Chakras are various focal points in our body used in meditation. The most common are the seven chakras. These points are arranged vertically along the spine. Chakras are believed to be the reason for the smooth flow of energy. Below are seven chakras and their importance.

1. Muladhara (root chakra)

It is located at the tip or base of the spine. It is a chakra that helps control oneself like stability and security. Therefore it is called the chakra of basic necessity. This chakra helps to overcome fear and finding self. It helps you stay grounded and humble.

2. Svadhisthana (sacral chakra)

This chakra is located below the navel and just above the pubic bone. This chakra is said to help with emotions and creativity. It is also said to be related with sense of enjoyment and pleasure and sexuality.

3. Manipura (navel chakra)

It is located near the stomach or abdomen area. It is linked with self-confidence and self-esteem. It controls how you present yourself in public. When opened it gives you a sense of positive attitude.

4. Anahata (heart chakra)

Located in the middle of the chest. It is related to the way you love and want to be loved. To be compassionate about little things. With heart chakra open, you can feel deeply connected to someone.

5. Vishuddha (throat chakra)

It is located near the throat. It represents the way you communicate with people. A balanced Vishuddha you will be able to express your thoughts in a proper way.

6. Ajna (third eye chakra)

It is located on your forehead between your eyebrows. This chakra is linked with your ability to think and your imagination power. It also reflects your decision-making skills. Institutions and wisdom are also said to be related to this chakra.

7. Sahasrara (crown chakra)

It is located on top of your head. So it is called crown chakra. It is connected with spirituality and pure bliss.

Balancing all this chakras is important for energy to flow in our body smoothly and live a meaningful life. A slight imbalance in one of the chakras can fail all the other as they are all connected and related.
