His Holiness is a saint. The Tibetan Dalai Lama, the 14th Dalai Lama, is a man of peace. For his nonviolent campaign for Tibet’s freedom, he received the Nobel Peace Prize, and he has always called for nonviolence, even in the face of great hostility. He was also the first Nobel Prize winner to be honored for his efforts to address global environmental issues.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama takes a message of peace, nonviolence, inter-religious acceptance, global responsibility, and mercy with him after travelling around the world to meet with rulers of numerous nations, heads of several faiths, and well-known researchers.
When The Dalai Lama said “Peace will not come from the sky” he meant that
People have been seeking to find peace in their surroundings, their communities, and the planet in every period and in every place. It’s interesting that despite the fact that this quest has been on-going for such a long time and has been pursued by several people; its completion remains a mystery. Few people are able to attain tranquilly. Nothing on this planet appears to provide us real and sustainable peace. We begin to question why it is so difficult to accomplish peace.
To find peace, one must commit to practice peace on a daily basis.
Meditation, yoga, daily exercises, and remaining calm are all ways to develop peace.
Only if you are capable of doing so will you be able to find peace; so, peace does not fall from the sky; instead, one must go through all of the phases in order to achieve peace.
