Pleasant songs that will give you peace of mind

Although stress-relieving techniques such as meditation, yoga, and napping are useful, listening to music is one of the simplest ways to increase dopamine levels. You may have your playlist to help you relax, but this one is backed by science. Here are some most relaxing songs.

1. Marconi Union, “Weightless”
Marconi Union is an ambient music band from England that collaborated with sound therapists to create the world’s most peaceful song. There isn’t exactly a melody here; rather, it’s a succession of tones with some natural background samples. The persistent pulsating chord that runs throughout the song is nearly captivating. You can almost hear the soundwave ebbing and flowing.

2. Airstream, “Electra”
This soothing tune is comparable to “Weightless.” The neurological system is less taxed by the mid-range frequencies and the lack of low, powerful bass. This song has a “chilling” vibe to it, and it has a hip-hop tempo to it, but nothing too extreme. This could be the perfect background music for your sun salutations if you’re a yoga aficionado.

3. DJ Shah, “Mellomaniac (Chillout Mix)”
The reverb guitar above the ostinato, which is a repeated musical pattern, is what makes this piece calm. The mind is freed to experience rather than analyze the music as a result of the repetition. The beat is soothing and perhaps a little sensual, as the song’s title suggests. The conga-like drum and the rainstick conjure up images of sipping something frozen on a tropical island.

4. Coldplay, “Strawberry Swing”
This is the first song on the list with lyrics, demonstrating that calming music does not have to be instrumental. It has a somewhat faster tempo and encourages a sense of contentment rather than relaxation. The lyrics contribute to the casual attitude, and the video is entertaining to watch as well.

5. Mozart, “Canzonetta Sull’aria”
Classical music is frequently the first genre that comes to mind when people think of calming music. This Mozart song is a good example. The lovely female voices, combined with Mozart’s trademark mathematical precision, create an audible delight. It’s simple and light, and it doesn’t expect much of the listener other than to enjoy the music.

6. Barcelona, “Please Don’t Go”
“Please Don’t Go,” like “Electra,” the second song on our list, lacks a substantial bottom and instead relies on high and mid-range vibrations in the piano and strings. It’s also composed in a minor key, which is typical of sorrowful songs. The words elicit strong emotions, and the singer’s soft, slightly hoarse voice makes it sound as if she’s crying. If you’re truly into the song, you might start crying as well.

While these songs have their different characteristics, they all contain white noise, a low to mid-tempo, and simple orchestration in common. Consider adding a song or two (or all of them!) to your stress-relieving playlist if you’re feeling anxious.
