Tips to boost self-esteem and find peace and happiness

Even if we feel happiness lies in material things, true happiness doesn’t come from material things it actually comes from within us. Even if you don’t have a car or a perfect place to live, even if you have health issues you can still be incredibly happy. Finding happiness is something only you can do for yourself.

We all deserve happiness and we all are worth it, it’s only sometimes our self-esteem goes down and makes us think of ourselves as a worthless human. All you need to find inner happiness is to work on your self-esteem. So below are some tips to help you boost your self-esteem.

· Know yourself

You first need to know yourself to understand your strengths and weakness. You must spend some time getting to know yourself. List down your likes and dislikes, what you are good at, what you feel you can’t do, what makes you happy, what makes you sad, etc. These questions will help you understand yourself better and also improve yourself.

· Get rid of negativity

Get rid of all the negative thoughts you get, stay away from negative people and people who pull you down. Instead, embrace positive thoughts, surround yourself with people who support you and from whom you can learn positive things.

· Have daily positive affirmations

Begin your day with daily positive affirmations like

1. I love myself

2. Today is a nice day

3. I am going to nail it

4. Everything is going to be good today.

Many such affirmations will help bring positivity in your thought process and according to the book the secret ‘you attract what you think’

· Forgive yourself

If for some reason you are not in good terms with yourself for not being able to achieve something, be compassionate and forgive yourself. You deserve your forgiveness the most than anyone else. Don’t motivate yourself for not being able to accomplish certain things, not everyone is perfect and mistakes do happen, you should forgive and move on and learn from the mistake.

· Stay grateful

Being grateful for all the good things should be your way if life. Gratitude is a beautiful gesture the more grateful you are the more situations you attract to be grateful for, it’s a beautiful loop and very easy to achieve. Always be thankful to people who help you and to God for all the good situations he throws at you.
