We hustle throughout life, believing that once we achieve a particular degree of success, we will finally be able to rest and enjoy life. We compare our current lives to the ones we’d prefer to live, and we establish objectives for a growing number of things to do. Happiness, in reality, can only exist right now, in this present instant, because whether it’s now or later, it’ll always be this current time when you decide to begin experiencing your happiness.
As we start getting older and look back on our lives, we may find that we wasted too many of life’s valuable moments pursuing extra wealth and worldly items and that we fret excessively about things that never came to pass. Whereas possessing icons of success can boost our ego, when we’re about to know our hearts better, we realise that some things in life are far more important to us on a deeper level: our loved ones’ quality of life, our health, and how much affection we were able to share with others during our lives.
After we depart this earth, we won’t be able to take anything tangible with us. We can only take the life experiences that we’ve stored in our hearts with us. Knowing this profound truth, we must begin to recognise it now and create our lives in ways that will truly fulfil the love in our hearts, letting go of the distracting ideals of accumulating ever-increasing amounts of useless cash and worldly possessions.
Life allows us to enjoy ourselves and live from our emotions, surrounded by love and happiness. Take time to indulge yourself, to appreciate and cherish the little pleasures in life. They are frequently the most important things. The point of life isn’t to work hard so that you can enjoy it later. The goal is to savour it right now. Often, our brains are so preoccupied with attempting to attain something that we miss out on the joys that life has to offer. Take a moment to pause, take a deep breath, look around, and admire something lovely. Your happiness can be found right now, not later.
We all struggle to make ends meet, but life can be so much more. We often believe that we must do many things to fulfil our cultural obligations, but in truth, we must discover the best approach to make ourselves happy while also helping others. It’s all too easy to exploit the concept of “maintaining the status quo” as an excuse to live a life that isn’t fulfilling.
However, if you reflect on your life, you would like to ensure that you lived it, not just the predetermined life of working every day at a job you despise to enjoy a few years of retirement when you’re very old. Dance as much as you can, as far as you can, every step of the way.
