The greatest follower of peace after Buddha and Christ is Mahatma Gandhi whose idea on peace was focused on nonviolence, individualism, soul force and forgiveness. World peace was initiated from his ideologies.
Today’s researchers believe that the modern-day conflicts have become way more complex and their solutions too yet there are some correlations of what Gandhi had said before and what initiatives and strategies the world is taking to fend off violence and bring peace.
World peace means freedom, peace and happiness among all the nations and its people. Global peace has now become a political work that settles down any issues between the nations in a democratic way through the display of military power, arms and weapons. They have less-violent conversations.
They fail to notice that any issue arises at social levels and then reaches the political, finally seeking military. At this stage, the ideologies of Gandhi are considered as tonic for social and cultural development and hence neglected in the global forum. Since he is a politically and economically the Father of the Nation his dictum is only applicable for the local economy.
World communities have not yet come to the terms that Gandhi can be a solution provider or a conflict breaker. Gandhi believed that a nation that wants war has nothing in this nation whereas the country that is starving needs all the help he can get from the world and the nation that tries to endanger its peace has no security for itself.
