Using a smartphone has made all our lives convenient as well as made us highly dependent. We can’t pass a single day without the use of mobile. Many of us need to check our phone before sleeping and after waking up, even though there are more important things to do first as you wake up. We can easily pass hours on our cell phone without even taking a washroom break or getting bored. That’s how addictive smartphones are. But have you ever tried to skip using the phone as we wake up and have a real conversation with our family about the day? Sounds tiny and easy but practised rarely.
It certainly is not our fault that we are stuck to devices that bring the world as close to you as at your doorstep. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, WhatsApp and many other applications show you everything you wish to see and pass time. Yes, in terms of spreading awareness and keeping us informed about the situation around the world, social media does the job well. But other than that we could use our time in finding real-life happiness, one that makes you smile and not just because you are facing a camera. The happiness that you will remember as good memories in the future, that is the true joy of life.
You must have realised by now that smartphones are not as safe as you think they are. Financial frauds, cyberbullying, major privacy breaches are some of the common issues faced online by smartphone users. Getting too attached to your mobile also makes you less interactive. Studies have shown that youth addicted to cell phones tend to become introvert and avoid practical communications. As a precaution to this, everyone must focus on avoiding the use of cell phones as much as we can.
Spend more time with your siblings, play silly games that you will remember over time. Help your parents in these tough times of pandemic. That is the least we can do to ease their life. No happiness is greater than helping your parents. No Instagram post can beat that feeling!!!!
