“Happiness Is Not Something Readymade: It Comes With Your Own Actions”
The above quote by the Dalai Lama explains to us that you are the only person that can make yourself happy. Happiness is not something that you can get readymade, you have to create it. Your actions are responsible for your happiness. When you help someone, the smile that you see on the face of the other person makes you feel happy.
People are always in search of happiness. We are constantly finding ways to fulfil our dreams, to make ourselves happy and also to keep the ones around us happy. However, that one thing that we are constantly running behind seems to never stop for us.
We tend to find ourselves stuck in struggling situations that are difficult to overcome. Such situations make us feel like a broken person and we lose hope in happiness. It makes us feel like we don’t deserve to be happy.
Happiness is not something you can buy from a shop, instead you have to create it by your own actions. Only your actions have the ability to create happiness.
Discover the things that make you happy and act on them. If the simple act of reading a book brings you joy, go ahead and pick up your favourite book.
If trying out new dishes brings you pleasure, then go and buy yourself some food. Also make sure to feed the poor simultaneously, it will bring you joy plus inner peace.
Therefore, instead of searching for happiness, try out the little things that make you happy.
Everyone has a different source of happiness, go ahead and find yours.
