How To Boost Past Your Ego And Fears?

When fear becomes psychological rather than genuine, it is referred to as ego-driven fear. When the voice in the head starts rolling, it’s prone to making a story out of the incident, forming an attitude and opinion about it, and replaying it in a variety of ways. Anger, complaints, comments, and negativity are all manifestations of this remembering.

The more the ego thinks about the occurrence, talks to itself about it, creates a victim identity around it, and turns it into a tale to tell others, the more personal the story becomes, and the more anxious and irritated the ego becomes.

You will never be able to conquer genuine fear. You shouldn’t either. Ego-fear, on the other hand, maybe conquered if you choose to live in peace and calm. Who is it, after all, who does not want peace?

The following are the five most important methods for overcoming fear.

1. Recognize the difference

Make a distinction between the types of fear or anxiety you’re experiencing by being aware of what you’re feeling, what caused the physical and mental/emotional response, and what sparked the physical and mental/emotional response.

2. Identify worry as another form of fear

Worry is fear conversing with itself, and it proceeds in one of two directions: backward or forwards. Worry thrives on recollection, or the past, and anticipation, or the future — neither of which, it should be noted, are genuine. Only the present moment is real. So pay attention to the mental dialogue you have with yourself about any fear you have so you can better handle it when it starts to evolve into anxiety, as all ego-fear eventually does.

3. Pay attention to any mental chatter that starts with the word “my”

Ego-fear and worry are both concerned with events that occurred in “my life” (or did not occur, should have occurred, should not have occurred, and so on). Alternatively, it may be concerned with “my” future.

4. Examine your fearful thoughts and how they affect your body

Don’t beat yourself up because you think you’ll never be free of dread. Rather, pay attention to your apprehensions. “The witnessing presence” is a term used in the east to describe this activity. You put a little distance between you, the actual you, and the you who is unhappy the ego-self when you watch the talks in your thoughts, as well as your emotional reactions to those conversations. This area of serenity is created by the separation.

5. Recognize that it takes time to master

It takes a lot of effort to relax your mind. Those who practice self-discipline in this area, on the other hand, will experience “the peace that surpasses all understanding,” as St. Paul described it. Fear is dispelled by simply observing it. It’s that simple, put it into practice again and over again to see what happens.
