Finding true happiness in today’s environment is challenging enough. It can seem practically impossible when you factor in the ideals of another individual or group about how you should conduct your life or what determines success and pleasure.
People are more likely to appraise people based on statistics and files than on individual skills. When you’re trying to do something different than “the standard,” and you’re told it’s impossible, it’s irritating.
When we tie our sense of ourselves to what we do and how well we do it, we all have problems with questions of self-worth and value. We constantly compare ourselves to others, leading to feelings of inferiority and inadequacy.
You are the only one who can accurately assess your strengths and potential. After all, you know yourself better than anyone else. Rather than judging your life by the standards of the media, decide what matters most to you and pursue it.
The truth is that in life, there will always be judgement. There will always be someone who will tell you that you aren’t intelligent, thin, or successful enough. You can’t change people’s minds. The good news is that you are not required to do so. Nothing else matters if you believe in yourself. You can’t change other people, but you can change your attitude toward them. Practice self-love and self-acceptance.
The amazing thing about self-love is that once you realize you’re already good enough, there’s only one direction to go but up. The negativity dissipates, and positivity grows. Accept yourself and enjoy the sense of security, contentment, and inner peace that comes with it. Because you are enough!
As a result, give yourself permission to be who you are. Accept, believe in, and love yourself, knowing that you are already enough and that no one else needs to convince you otherwise. You won’t be able to live the life you’ve imagined unless you accept yourself.
Be the person you want to be, not the person you think others want to see.
