The art of dealing with anxiety

Every one of have faced anxiety, some of us have severe anxiety issues while some have mild anxiety. Anxiety causes due to fear of something or due to jobs, exams etc. It is predictable and can be dealt with. But sometimes your anxiety puts your health at stake and in such case, you must take action against it.

What is anxiety?

Anxiety is a combination of feelings like fear, nervousness, and other uneasy feelings. You can feel anxiety because of many reasons. Anxiety is a natural way to react to threat or stressful situations. For example, moving to an unfamiliar city, exams, presentation etc. When you are anxious you often start shaking your legs and also start sweating, your heart starts beating faster, going weak in the knees, unable to sleep etc.

How to deal with anxiety?

· Learn about anxiety

First of all research about anxiety. Its types, causes and solutions. It’s important to understand about anxiety first to be able to deal with it. Read as much as you can about anxiety.

· Identification of sources

Identify what leads you to get anxious. Is it fear about something? What makes you stressed? Identifying the sources will help you in avoiding them in the first place and if you can’t avoid will help you find out solution about it.

· Use relaxation techniques

If you are facing severe anxiety issues. You must often try relaxation techniques like meditation, deep breathing etc. It will help you calm yourself when you are anxious. Also, lessen your stress.

· Think positive

Avoid thinking negatively, instead, keep thinking positive about every situation. Thinking positive will make you calm and relaxed. Whenever you are stressed you are often thinking about negative outcomes in such cases, try making positive affirmations.
