Self-pity, a situation that we might have felt in the past or present. Not just that but self-pity seems to be a highly obsessive trait amongst many of us which we might fail to realize.
Self-pity is an excessive and overload of pity for oneself. One of the causes that stem from lower self-esteem, dwelling on past problems, overthinking, focusing on the negative takes of life, hating oneself or not accepting being flawed is normal, comparing yourself to others, and then feeling extremely guilty for not measuring up with the media standards.
It’s okay to feel pity for oneself, but excess of it can ruin your chances of growing and being the best version of yourself. Overload of self-pity can keep your admirers away from you.
Stop taking life so seriously, it’s important to laugh at certain situations which aren’t that big of a deal! It’s not fine to sit and cry when a pencil lead breaks or when you have a breakup with a good friend. We should learn to see things more positively. It’s okay to sometimes laugh at yourself, not a big deal.
Stop going back into the past, dwelling in the past makes no sense. To leave a self-pity-free life, be a person who resides in the present. Watch fun videos/comed. The best way to avoid being guilt absorbed is to indulge yourself in it.
Build your self-confidence and esteem, by reading good literature, watching inspirational videos, accepting yourself, and learning to find happiness in every little bit you do, you can conquer self-pity.
