If you have been believing that the main two boundaries to great wellbeing are a healthy eating regimen and exercising daily, reconsider. There is another significant factor that frequently goes unnoticed. We are discussing eating timings here. Your body expects stability to be healthy and the time and span at which you have your meal are as important as the food you eat. Eating breakfast at lunch will only make you skip your lunch and feed on unhealthy snacks later in the evening which will later spoil your appetite for the dinner. Here are some detailed reasons why you should maintain a strict eating time: –
- It controls your body cycle – A healthy diet, adequate sleep and a disciplined eating schedule are all the things that are in our control to keep ourselves fit and fine and we must try hard to maintain it. It is from these daily habits our body gets used to a functioning cyclic rhythm. So, it is crucial to consume every meal on time to maintain this rhythm.
- Improves your metabolism – The schedule you maintain for eating your food also controls your metabolism. When we wake up in the morning, our metabolism is at its best at which point it is important to feed yourself with a healthy breakfast. If you fail to meet these ends, you disrupt your metabolic rate.
- It detoxes your body – All of the food that we consume is not totally pure. It may contain some toxins that must be extracted. Detoxing is done by our liver and it mostly works at night after we sleep. Hence it is mandatory to eat dinner a few hours before we sleep and not just a little time before going to bed. This will only disrupt the functioning of your liver.
- Maintains a gap between every meal – Our digestive system requires at least 3-4 hours to digest a meal effectively. Thus, eating every meal on time and maintaining a healthy schedule will help you maintain a proper time gap between every meal. Try to eat fruits and dry fruits between those meals if you feel hungry.
These are the advantages of maintaining a strict eating schedule. Every meal must be had at a particular time. Breakfast is supposed to have as soon as you wake. The ideal time to consume breakfast is eating it within 2 hours after you wake up. Our digestive power is at peak between 12 – 2 pm. So, lunch must be consumed at this time. Dinner must be had between 8-9 pm maintaining at least 3-4 hours after your last meal. Also, consume your dinner 2 hours before going to bed.
