1- Water and salt
Salt draws water out of the tissues of the throat, reducing the swelling that comes with a sore throat. Add 14 teaspoons of salt to 1 cup of hot water (as hot as tolerated) and 1 tablespoon of Listerine, if possible, to ease burning sensations in the throat, repair the mucous membranes, and gargle once an hour.
2- Lemon and Water:
Lemons are an excellent cure for sore throats due to their high vitamin C and antioxidant content, saliva-producing characteristics, and capacity to reduce inflamed throat tissues. Drink 1 teaspoon lemon juice mixed with 1 cup warm water once a day for a healing and relaxing effect.
3- Turmeric:
Turmeric is a medicinal spice that is widely utilised. Because of its anti-inflammatory and therapeutic characteristics, it was first employed by ancient peoples in the Subcontinent and is still known as the Golden Spice of Life.
4- Peppermint (pudina):
The menthol in this well-known breath freshener efficiently relieves throat pain and dry coughs by thinning the mucus. To relieve a sore throat, make a peppermint tea by steeping fresh peppermint leaves in boiling water for 3-5 minutes and filtering them out, or apply a mixture of 5 drops of peppermint oil in olive, almond, or coconut oil.
5- Coconut Oil:
It is often recommended that those who want a clear throat avoid fatty foods. When it comes to natural cures for sore throat, coconut oil appears to be an odd choice. The truth is that coconut oil is high in lipids, but they are good fats that do not adhere to the lynx lining and so do not exacerbate the effects of a sore throat.
