Basic and severe symptoms of COVID-19

Covid-19 , the pandemic we are going through right now is an infectious disease caused by coronavirus. People who are infected with this virus are said to experience mild to severe symptoms. Older people and people with medical history such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are likely to observe severe illness.

Here are a few basic and severe symptoms stated by WHO.

Basic and most common.

· Fever

· Dry cough

· Tiredness

Not so common symptoms

· Aches and pain

· Diarrhoea

· Conjunctivitis

· Loss of taste or smell

· Headache

· Sore throat

· Discoloration of fingers or toes.

· Rashes on skin

Severe symptoms

· Difficulty in breathing

. Chest pain or pressure

· Loss of speech or movement.

According to WHO if you have serious symptoms then you must seek for medical help. If you have mild symptoms you must stay home and away from people. On average it takes 5-6 days to show symptoms but sometimes it can take upto 14 days.
