Many of us now have occupations that require us to gaze at computer screens for long periods of time. Your eyes will be put under a lot of strain as a result of this. Computer vision syndrome refers to eyesight impairments caused by computer use (CVS).
When you work at a computer, your eyes must constantly focus and refocus. All of these tasks need a significant amount of eye muscle work. To make matters worse, unlike a book or a piece of paper, the screen adds contrast, flicker, and glare to the equation. Furthermore, it has been established that when using a computer, we blink considerably less frequently, causing the eyes to dry out and distort our vision.

The optimal position for your display is 20 to 28 inches away from your face, slightly below eye level. To view what’s on the screen, you shouldn’t have to stretch your neck or strain your eyes.
Sitting too close to the computer screen might cause eye strain. Increase the contrast, brightness, and font size on your device to make the text and photos more apparent and easier to read.
The 20-20-20 rule should be followed. Every 20 minutes or so, glance away from the television for about 20 seconds and look at someplace around 20 feet away. After 2 hours of steady screen use, take a 15-minute break. Avoid glancing at another digital screen during each break.
When you stare at a computer or a digital screen for long periods of time, your eyes grow dry because you don’t blink as often as you should. By spreading moisture throughout your eyes, blinking helps to keep them from drying out.
