Is it safe to go back to the gym?
Honestly, going nowhere is the safest option. But it’s impossible to completely lock yourself in your house. After all How long are we going to do that? People are now returning to their normal life but it’s compulsory to take necessary precautions. The safety of visiting a gym depends on how your gym owner maintains cleanliness over there. If your gym and equipment are cleaned or sanitized after every session and all safety measures are taken care of then you can visit the gym. However, it’s still suggested if you can do your workout session at home avoid visiting gyms. If you are going to visit the gym, you must take the following precautions.
Precautions you need to take!
· Carry your own supplies, like your own water bottle, your own towel and other supplies. Don’t borrow anything from anyone, at least until the pandemic is over.
· Make sure that your gym allots a dedicated slot for everyone, where there will be only 4-5 people in the gym, depending on the gym size. Don’t go to the gym other than the allotted time.
· Even if your gym is taking safety measures, you must sanitize the equipment before using them. So that you are safe from touching dirty equipment.
· If you are not feeling well, have a cough or cold or even headache, avoid visiting the gym as it’s your duty to not visit any public places when you are not feeling well, in case you are infected you might spread the infection.
· Though wearing a mask in public places is ideal, but while working out it might block the passage of air and thus increase your heart rate rapidly, making you feel tired and can even cause worse consequences.
· Practicing social distancing is very necessary to keep yourself safe from any sort of chances of getting the virus.
· If possible use hand gloves, especially the gym gloves to refrain yourself from touching your face and touching the surfaces bare hands.
