Home Remedies for Diarrhea

Bloating, watery feces, and discomfort in the abdomen are frequent signs of diarrhea, a digestive system disruption. Diarrhea that lasts for around two weeks is a sign of a bacterial illness, contaminated water infection, food poisoning, or viral infection.

Here are a few home remedies for treating diarrhea:

1. Drink plenty of water

Drinking lots of water is one of the greatest strategies to treat diarrhea at home. The use of oral pediatric hydration solutions is indicated. Sports beverages have been shown in studies to be a successful treatment. Additionally, mixing sugar and salt with water makes it easier for the intestine to absorb liquids.

2. Eating Plan

Eating certain foods helps to lessen the symptoms of diarrhea and offers your body a boost to recover from it. Bananas, rice, applesauce, and bread should all be included in your diet. Oatmeal, chicken soup, and boiled or baked potatoes are additional items.

3. Avoid these Foods

Your body won’t accept fried or fatty foods if you have diarrhea. Avoid foods that are high in fiber since they can cause bloating, such as fruits and vegetables. Alcohol, artificial sweeteners, cruciferous vegetables, tea, coffee, chickpeas, leafy vegetables, milk, peppers, berries, beans, and ice cream should all be avoided.

4. Take in probiotics

The good bacteria in probiotics work to ward off the bad ones and maintain the intestinal tract’s health. It is best to eat yogurt, pickles, green olives, dark chocolate, and aged soft cheese to treat diarrhea at home.
