How To Use Pranayama To Remove Mucus From Your Lungs

As a result of pneumonia, one or both lungs’ air sacs enlarge. The air sacs might become swollen with fluid or pus (purulent material), which would impair breathing and result in fever, chills, and a coughing fit that would generate pus or phlegm. Only a few of the species that can cause pneumonia include bacteria, viruses, and fungus. Here is a method for using pranayama to get rid of fluid in your lungs.

1.Bhastrika Meditation (Bellow Breath)

Method

•Take up any comfortable sitting posture (such as Sukhasan, Ardha Padmasana, or Padmasana);

•Sit up straight, close your eyes;

•In the Prapthi Mudra, lay your palms on your knees;

•Take a complete breath in and out.

•Inhalation to exhalation should be a 1:1 ratio. For instance, you must exhale after taking six counts of breath in.

2.Pranayama Anulom Vilom (Alternate Nostril Breathing)

Method

•Choose from Sukhasana, Ardha Padmasana, Vajrasana, or Poorna Padmasana and sit comfortably. Focus on your breathing while keeping your shoulders loose and your back upright.

•Bend your knees into the Prapthi Mudra position and as you inhale, gently shut your left nostril with your thumb.

•Next, breathe out from your right nostril.

After breathing, close your right airway, allowing your left airway to be the sole one used for exhalation.

3.Kapal Bhati (Skull Shining Technique)

Method

•Sit in a comfortable position, such as Sukhasan, Ardha Padmasana, or Padmasana.

Straighten your back.

•Shut your eyes

•Put your hands up on your knees (in Prapthi Mudra)

•Regular breathing in while focusing on taking short, rhythmic breaths out.

•By squeezing your stomach, you can compel the diaphragm and lungs to release all of the air they contain.
