Tips to relieve you from neck pain at home

What can be causes of your neck pain?

Muscle tension

· Your sleeping position

· Constantly using mobile or computer

· Sitting in the same position for a long time.

· Driving for a long time

· Due to sports or exercise, you indulge in

Injury

Your neck is most prone to injury during car accident or fall or sports because due to sudden action your neck muscles can move out of their range causing injury. If any injury you must directly see the doctor and follow his remedies.

Heart attack

Neck pain can be the symptom of a heart attack. If you feel pain in your neck and shoulder, along with shortness of breath and sweating, you must immediately go to the hospital near you. It might be signs of a heart attack.

What are the remedies?

· Practice a quick neck exercise every day. Exercise can include rolling your head and stretching from side to side and up and down motion

· Apply ice on the neck for 2-3 days after that apply heat by heating pad or taking a hot shower.

· Avoid sitting in the same position for a long time, keep changing your positions from time to time.

· If you feel neck pain mostly after waking up, you must give up your pillow. Changing a pillow can help you a lot in relieving neck pain.

· Ask someone to give you a gentle neck massage.

· If you are a sports person, take a few days off from your sport and relax. Avoid exercises that put pressure on your shoulders.

· Use a good posture while standing and sitting.

· Take special care while you sleep, don’t sleep on your stomach because while doing so you keep your neck twisted in a particular way and it remains still for many hours which can cause more pain.

· If you still have neck pain you should consult a doctor for the same.
