Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta, was a nun and missionary to the catholic Church who had devoted her life in caring for the sick and the poor. She was born in Macedonia to parents of Albanian-decent and having taught in India for 17 years. She was the founder of the order of missionaries of charity Roman catholic congregation of women dedicated to helping the poor. Mother Teresa died on September 5, 1997, at the age of 87. She was given the title Saint Teresa of Calcutta in 2016. Mother Teresa became famous as a catholic nun who has dedicated her entire life in caring for the sick and the poor of the Calcutta slums.
