When we were kids, many of us had a favorite cartoon that we watched no matter how much homework we had. We may not watch these shows as frequently as we used to as we get older, but they still have a particular place in our hearts and collective nostalgia. But these cartoons have taught us some amazing lessons.
Here are 6 basic life lessons we get from cartoons
1. Love yourself — The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Nobody is perfect, yet it’s easy to feel insecure about your appearance when bombarded with advertising and beauty standards. Take a cue from Winnie the Pooh and be proud of who you are, flaws and all.
2. People are afraid of what is new – The Powerpuff Girls
Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were Townsville’s heroes, yet the citizens feared and despised them when they first came. It’s not your fault if people have negative reactions to change or new things. Never alter your personality to fit in with those folks.
3. You’re supposed to make mistakes. – As Told By Ginger
It’s inevitable that you’ll make mistakes. It’s unreasonable and intimidating to try to be flawless in every way, so simply be yourself. Accepting responsibility for them and moving on is the greatest approach to deal with them.
4. Be self-assured, but not overconfident- Johnny Bravo
Johnny Bravo, the karate-chopping, big-haired legend, taught us that impressing people requires more than just excellent looks. Johnny was confident that his charms would woo any woman (even if they didn’t typically do so!). He instilled in us the ability to be self-assured and to love ourselves, as well as the understanding that rejection is a part of life.
5. You’ll be able to go through anything with the help of your friends.- Scooby-Doo
Take a look at Scooby-Doo and his pals, Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy. Their companionship showed us that we can face any challenge in life with the help of our friends, no matter how frightening it may appear.
6. It is critical to maintain a positive attitude. -Spongebob Squarepants
Spongebob Squarepants is the happiest creature on the planet, living in a gigantic pineapple at the bottom of the ocean. What he taught us was that positivity is the key to living a happy life.
