Jobs was impoverished and struggled to make a life before founding Apple Computers. He, too, dropped out of college. Even after Apple’s success, he was sacked from his own firm, but it did not stop him from reinventing himself and succeeding after so many setbacks.
Jordan was passed over for the varsity basketball team as a youngster. He was instead assigned to the junior varsity team. He was devastated because he was a basketball fanatic. While most people in Jordan’s situation would have given up, he took defeat in stride and worked harder and pushed himself to improve.
Carrey was born and raised in poverty before becoming famous. To live, he had to work as a janitor and drop out of college to pursue his love. He aspired to be a well-known stand-up comedian. He was repeatedly booed off the stage, but it didn’t stop him from trying. Finally, after decades of hardship in the industry, Carrey landed the role of Ace Ventura at the age of 32.
She was suffering from clinical depression and suicidal ideation as a result of her ordeal. She ultimately wrote the manuscript for her first novel (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone) after many years, but it was rejected by 12 major publishing houses. She didn’t give up, and eventually a publishing business called Bloomsbury gave her a chance, and she is today regarded as one of the world’s most famous novelists.
Oprah grew up in poverty and faced multiple disappointments early in her profession. She, on the other hand, did not give up. She worked very hard and eventually achieved recognition through her television show, The Oprah Winfrey Show. She is the first African-American woman to receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award.
Einstein was seen as a failure throughout his life. He couldn’t speak till he was four years old. He was also on the verge of dropping out of university due to his terrible marks. To make a livelihood, he embarked on a variety of activities, from selling insurance to working as an assistant examiner at the Patent Office. Many years later, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Science (1921) and finally received recognition for his contributions to physics.
