The battle with any of the diseases is not an easy one. The word cancer alone kills a person even before it attacks him. It is a thin thread between life and death.
The said Lion of Punjab, Yuvraj Singh as we all know is a cancer survivor. He has turned out to be an inspirational figure because he took every obstacle in his way as an opportunity and celebrated the journey.
Yuvraj, a young cricketer started his career in international cricket in the year 2000 and soon won the hearts of cricket fans and many others in India.
During the World Cup, he experienced difficulty in breathing and got it tested after the World Cup which revealed a tumour in his chest. Just like any other human, he too struggled to accept it because for him accepting was giving up his dream career of cricket. As a result, he delayed his treatment.
In 2011, he was mentally and emotionally prepared to face his fears. As suggested by his doctors, he went to the US for chemotherapies. He also undertook Ayurveda treatment and went to rehab the same year.
Eventually, after beating the deadly disease, he went back to achieve his passion and started playing for Indian cricket again.
During this cancerous battle of Yuvraj, he was scared but with a positive outlook on life, he overcame those fears. This young cricketer inspired people to believe that cancer does not mean that your life is about to end, instead it is one of the fights in life that makes you stronger and bolder for your upcoming future.
