Born into an impoverished family in India in 1887, this excellent Hindu mathematician ascended to great heights before dying at the tender age of 32. This is a well-researched and fascinating biography of the enigmatic and brilliant mathematician Ramanujan’s brief but remarkable life. Ramanujan may easily be likened to the greatest in any field or regarded as the mathematical equivalent of Mozart.

5. I Too Had a Dream by Verghese Kurien

This is one of India’s top biographies/autobiographies. Verghese Kurien might easily have included entertaining details about his sacrificed personal life and interests in his memoirs. Rather, he was intent on demonstrating how he turned Amul into a phenomenal success story. This book details his legendary involvement in the development of the AMUL. It’s more vital to understand how he fueled the cooperative movement and the white revolution’s triumph.

6. Beyond the Last Blue Mountain by R. M. Lala

J R D Tata: “What is good for India is good for Tatas”.

A well-written book in which the personal side of JRD is well-explained. JRD is an inspiring read for understanding the passion and determination that went into developing the airline business and the TATA empire in India.
