Life is full of ups and downs. And at times, you may feel overwhelmed. Whether it is because of work pressure, personal problems, or too many responsibilities, these can lead to stress. However, there is always a way out, and we have ways for you to calm yourself when you feel overwhelmed.
1) Deep Breath: Many times, when we are stressed, our bodies get affected, making us feel tense. At such moments, we should take deep breaths. Breathing deep from the diaphragm activates the body’s relaxation response, which helps us feel calm.
2) Walk In Nature: If deep breathing doesn’t work well, then you should step out wherever you are and take a quick walk in nature. This will help you declutter your brain, making you feel better and reducing stress hormones like cortisol.
3) Live In The Present: The most common problem is people either think about the past or the future, sacrificing the present moment, which results in unnecessary stress and anxiety. That is why you should develop the habit of living in the present moment and keep control of your senses.
4) Take Breaks: It is very important to take breaks in between. Often, one feels overwhelmed due to too much pending work. At such times, take a deep breath and break your goals into smaller tasks, helping you achieve them effectively.
5) Limit Screen Time: Screen time constantly bombards us with information, news, and negativity, which leads to depression. That is why we should limit screen time and indulge in more engaging activities.
