Marvel superheroes character have influenced and inspired us so much that, most of us imagine about being one. While we may not be able to be the one, we can manifest the spirit of our favorite Marvel characters by recollecting the many words of wisdom they have gave over the years.
Here are some of the most inspirational quotes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe:
1.“Whatever happens tomorrow, you must promise me one thing. That you will stay who you are, not a perfect soldier, but a good man.” (Dr. Abraham Erskine, Captain America: The First Avenger)
The quote remind us that we can be anything we want to be in our lives. You can be a superhero, a millionaire or a common man but the most important thing amidst all of this is to be a good man with a good heart. You may not be perfect, you may make mistakes, mess up things around you and that’s completely okay as long as you are learning from them and not letting them define you.
2. “My armor was never a distraction or a hobby, it was a cocoon, and now I’m a changed man. You can take away my house, all my tricks and toys, but one thing you can’t take away – I am Iron Man.” (Tony Stark, Iron Man 3)
Iron Man 3 finishes with a monologue from Tony Stark, ending with this statement. Here, we get to learn that all the materialistic things in life are not guaranteed. There’s no surety whether you will be rich and have luxuries all your life. But the thing that is surely going to be with you forever are your skills, your talents, your values, your virtues. No one can ever to take them away from you. They define you and make you who you are.
3.“I can’t control their fear, only my own.” (Wanda Maximoff, Captain America: Civil War)
The beginning of Civil War resulted in the deaths of several people. Wanda Maximoff feels guilty for the damage caused and experiences a lot of self-doubt and even fear of her own capabilities. This qoute of Wanda Maximoff reminds us that it’s only us who has complete control over our own emotions and how we feel. It’s all in our hands to control our fear and anxiety. Likewise, we have no control over how others feel, we can’t change their emotions, it’s totally their responsibility to have control over their emotions.
4. “We never lose our demons, Mordo. We only learn to live above them.” (The Ancient One, Doctor Strange).
This quote has both positive and negative aspects. The demons here is metaphor for stress, anxiety, fear, anger and other kinds of negative emotions we experience in our life. These negative emotions are always part of our life they never leave us. But it’s in our duty to overcome these negative emotions and not let them control our life. This is an important step in accepting ourselves and a beginning to move forward.
5. “I choose to run towards my problems, and not away from them. Because that’s what– because that’s what heroes do.” (Thor, Thor: Ragnarok)
Many a times in our life we tend to run away from all the problems. Running away from problem don’t solve them but may make the problem more severe. Facing the problem without fear is what heroes do.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has given us so many wise words and many inspirational moments to look at during tough times, but it’s impossible to feature all of them on a single list.
