Take A Look At Steve Smith As He Shows Us How To Not Let Your Mistakes Control You

Have you ever wished you could be someone “great”? Be like a sports legend, a musician, an actress, or a highly accomplished specialist in your area… someone who sticks out from the audience?

And here is the deal: We may desire it in some way, but are we prepared to pay the cost? Are we willing to make sacrifices and strive tirelessly to build our own personalities? Saying no to our desires, addictions, problems, and personal laziness? Or do we wish to take the easy way out?

Any ruler carries a great deal of responsibility on his or her shoulders. Steve Smith, the former Australian cricket captain, is no exception.

We frequently witness how nice, compassionate, and motivated individuals make terrible mistakes. And while we may sit there and declare, “I would never do that!” How do we know with certainty? Have you ever been diverted from something you know you needed to perform for even a fraction of a second? What’s to say that if the money was right, you wouldn’t be inclined?

During the news conference, the former Australia captain cried several times. Smith was speaking to the press for the first time since Cricket Australia suspended him from the game for a year.

“To all of my colleagues, cricket fans around the world, and all dissatisfied and furious Australians.” “Please accept my apologies,” Smith said. “I accept all responsibility… There was a leadership failure, specifically on my part. I’ll do all in my power to make up for my error and the harm it has caused.”

“If any good can come of this, if there can be a lesson to others then I hope I can be a force for change. I know I’ll regret this for the rest of my life. I’m absolutely gutted. I hope in time I can earn back respect and forgiveness,” he added.

Smith stated that he holds no one responsible for the incident, and that as the captain of the Australian cricket team, it was his job and that events occurred while he was in charge.
