The world of movies appears so nice because they pay special attention to what they want to show you and what they don’t! So consider yourself a director. Set up your webcam and your frame. Check it out when you’re seated in your chair. Examine the background to ensure that no worthless items are lying in the back. The backdrop should be neat and tidy.
Lighting is critical since you don’t want to appear drab on screen or, worse, not be visible at all. Everything comes down to the lights. Illuminating your face is the greatest approach to setting up your lighting. Focus a soft light behind your camera on your face. This can be a bulb or an LED, but it should not be too bright or warm because you will be sitting in front of it for a long time. The light will highlight your face and allow interviewers to see you well.
The most important of all is that there are no distractions. It’s showtime once the interviewers appear on your screen! So make sure you’ve petted your cat or dog and informed your family members! Set your phone on quiet and make sure there are no other noises coming from nearby rooms. It should be rather quiet, much like an interview room. Also, make sure that no other tabs or apps are active on your laptop or tablet for the online interview.
