With completion of High School comes the time to make important decisions. The one question that pops up is what stream to choose for a successful and bright future?
Don’t worry fellas, I have got some tips to help you select the right stream for you.
1. Be Self-Aware
After completing your high school you recognise the subjects you like and dislike. Focus on your most liked and interesting subjects.
Be aware of your strengths and weaknesses. Question yourself on which subject you’d like to continue with and also search for the scope it has for you in future.
2. Career Test
If you are finding it hard to recognise your right potential in a subject, a career test is perfect for you. The counselling that follows after the test, assists you in planning your next steps.
It will clear up the fuzzy path and help you select the right stream.
3. Gain Information on New Subjects
You are already familiar with subjects like maths, science, social studies and more. Now, it’s time to learn about new subjects such as Economics, Biotechnology, Marketing and others to gauge your interests.
Speak to the senior to gain a better idea about the course.
4. Reflect on Your Career Goal
It might seem a bit difficult but ask yourself, where do you see yourself 10 years down the line? Do you like structured work or are you comfortable with flexibility?
These would help you to understand the career you want and you can choose between the three subject streams: Humanities (Arts), Commerce and Science.
