There are several highest and enormous waterfalls in the world, which are astonishing to watch.
Here are some of those highest waterfalls.

1. Angel falls

Angel Falls is situated in Venezuela, a country in South America. The waterfall has a total height of 979 m. These falls are named after James Crawford Angel who was an American adventurer. He discovered this waterfall in1933 after his plane crashed in this region. It is one of the highest waterfalls.

2. Tugela Falls

Tugela is a series of waterfalls that have a height of 948 meters. They are located at the beginning of the Tugela river in Drakensberg Mountain of the KwaZulu province. It is one of the highest falls in South Africa and the whole world.

3. Olo’upena Falls, United States

This waterfall is located in the northeastern part of the Hawaiian island of Molokai. It is formed on a short, seasonal river. The total height of this waterfall is 900 m in length.

4. Yumbilla Falls, Peru

These waterfalls are situated in the Amazon forests. The word Yumbilla implies a heart of love. The waterfalls appear to take the shape of the heart. These are amazing to watch. It’s height is 895 meters.

5. Vinnufossen Falls, Norway

The height of Vinnufossen falls is 860 meters and it is located in Norway. These are some of the highest waterfalls in Europe. This waterfall drops 4 times, i.e, in four stages before reaching the ground.

6. Blaifossen Falls, Norway

It’s also one of the highest waterfalls in Norway after Vinnufossen. It is 850 meters in height and falls in the Province of Hordaland. It is fed by seasonal snowfields and has a deep quantity of water in it.

7. Pu’uka’oku Falls, United States

These are located on the north coast of Molokai islands in Hawaii. The Pu’uka’oku waterfalls are the highest in the United States of America. Their height is 840 meters.

8. James Bruce Falls, Canada

These are the highest waterfalls in North America. They occur as small glaciers with a height of 840 meters. It is located in British Columbia’s Princess Louisa Marine Provincial Park.

9. Browne Falls, New Zealand

These waterfalls get empty into Doubtful Sound, the ocean inlet. The falls are situated in Fiordland National Park and are perennial in nature. The water in the falls enters from Lake Browne. The waterfalls are 836 meters in height.
