Aamchi Mumbai Or Dilwaalon Ki Delhi: Which Is A Better Place?

Dilwaalon Ki Dilli vs. Aamchi Mumbai! The debate between both the national and financial capitals, Delhi and Mumbai, has flared up for centuries between the folks of ‘Dilwalon ki Dilli’ and ‘Aamchi Mumbai.’ But we must admit that both cities are stunning in their own right.

Aamchi Mumbai is the country’s financial and commercial capital and is also the city of hopes and aspirations. Whereas, ‘Dilwalo ki Dilli’ has its own rich heritage and is the cultural hub and the stage of political power in our country.

1. Food

If there is one argument that Mumbai will never win, it is over Delhi’s delectable cuisine. Surely the vada pavs and keema pavs are scrumptious, but they can’t compete with Delhi’s unique culinary heaven.

For food lovers, Delhi is a must-visit destination. It serves everything from Samosas, Golgappas, Paranthas, and Chole Bhature to Butter Chicken, Kebab, Biryani, and Rolls.

Delhi is truly ideal for people with a variety of tastes, budgets, and the insatiable Indian palate.

2. History and culture

Delhi was once ruled by the Mughals as a melting pot of rich history and culture.

Old Delhi illustrates India’s heritage, while noteworthy monuments such as the Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb and others uphold India’s rich history. Mumbai, on the other hand, thrived under British rule.

Art flourishes in Delhi, with many scholars, poets, and critics making it a cultural hotspot, whereas Mumbai has a few art galleries and museums. The art craze in Delhi is on the rise, and the city has a thriving contemporary art scene.

3. Mumbai locals and Delhi metro

Metro and local trains are the same things, but they have different terms. However, it is impossible to deny that these two cities have the most advanced public transportation systems. While the local connects Mumbai and is considered the lifeline of Mumbai, the metro in Delhi transports you from one part of the city to another for the least amount of money! You may not be able to get a seat in locals and metros, but you cannot deny their utility.

4. Accommodation

In terms of living expenses, Delhi is 8% less expensive than Mumbai, as per kaleidoscope reports. Buying a house in Mumbai is out of reach for most middle-class families, and the houses are small. Delhi is a city which is well-planned and less expensive.

5. Safety

Speaking of safety, Mumbai definitely is safer than Delhi. While in Delhi you always have to be alert, but in Mumbai you can freely enjoy without having to watch over your shoulder.
