On days when you’re bored, what do you generally do? To keep the emotion away, you can scroll through social media, binge-watch movies and TV shows, and so on. However, there is a method to turn your boredom into something useful. When we are bored or delayed, our brain processes information in a variety of innovative ways. Boredom, according to venture entrepreneur Loc Souêtre, can be a “gateway to a creative mind.” Here’s the link to the motivational TEDx talk:
You’ll find that boredom is frequently accompanied by procrastination or daydreaming. “What’s beautiful about daydreaming is that it comes from nothing,” Souêtre added, rather than classifying them as unpleasant feelings. “You were simply standing there staring at me in front of you when you began to think, and then you noticed the flood of fresh ideas, viewpoints, and thoughts!”
He went on to say that boredom should be embraced. “You should be glad you’re bored because it’s a fantastic source of inspiration. It allows us to come up with fresh ideas that could change the world, adopt a new perspective and think outside the box, or just consolidate our experiences in our minds.” He finished by stating that boredom can be beneficial in some ways. “It allows us to have fresh experiences and new ideas that have the potential to upset our reality.”
