Fried Chicken Momos are a well known North-Eastern snack recipe. It is a popular street food that is initially steamed and then fried. It is a delicious recipe that one should try.
Here is the recipe for chicken momos
Ingredients
All-purpose flour(1 cup),
salt(1/2 tsp),
oil (1 tbsp),
Water(as per requirement),
boneless Chicken(200 gm),
salt(1 tsp),
Cumin powder(1tsp),
(1 tbsp) Red chili flakes,
Chilli Garlic sauce(1tbsp),
Soy sauce(1 tsp),
chopped green chilies (3),
finely chopped coriander leaves,
cabbage shredded(1cup),
chopped Onion(1),
lemon juice(1tbsp)
Steps to prepare
In a bowl add some flour, salt, oil, and water, mix it and make a dough. Cover it and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
Now heat some oil in a pan. Put some ginger paste, garlic paste, and chopped onions. After it gets a slight bit translucent and the raw smell fades away, mix in all the spices, also put the chicken and the shredded cabbage.
Keep on mixing until everything gets cooked well for about 15-20 minutes on medium flame. Cover it with a lid.
Now divide the dough into equal-sized balls in small sizes. Roll it and make it thin in a round shape. Put around 2 tbsp of the chicken filling. Make it into the shape of momo. Now rather than steaming, these are to be fried.
Deep fry them in heated oil on medium heat, put them in one by one, don’t allow them to stick. One done, turn off the flame and place the momos in a dish.
Serve with Momos chutney and enjoy your crispy and delicious chicken momos.
