Five ways Gandhi used to change the world

Mahatma Gandhi does not require a lengthy introduction. Everyone is familiar with the man who led India to independence from British rule in 1947. So let’s just move on to the five ways Gandhi used to change the world.

1. Change yourself.

“You must be the change you want to see in the world.”

You can change your world if you change yourself. If you change your thinking, you will change your feelings and the actions you take. As a result, your surroundings will change.

Not only because you’re seeing the world through new glasses of thoughts and emotions, but also because the shift within you may allow you to act in ways you wouldn’t have – or even considered – if you were still caught in your old thought patterns.

2. Allow yourself to forgive and move on.

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”

You and the people in your life will benefit greatly by forgiving and letting go of the past. And dwelling on a bad memory won’t help you once you’ve learned the lessons that experience has to offer. You’ll very certainly end up causing yourself more pain and paralysing yourself from acting in the present time.

“An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind.”

It’s pointless to fight evil with evil. When you can adopt such a thoughtful habit into your life to a greater extent, you will be able to react in a way that is more beneficial to both you and others.

3. See the good in others.

“I look only to the good qualities of men. Not being faultless myself, I won’t presume to probe into the faults of others.”

There is almost always something positive in people. And some things aren’t so good. You may, however, pick what you want to focus on. And if you want to develop, focusing on the positive aspects of people is a fantastic option. It also makes life easier for you because your surroundings and connections improve.

4. Lend a hand.

“Man becomes great exactly in the degree in which he works for the welfare of his fellow men.”

It is simpler to encourage yourself to be of service to others when you find the good in others. You not only make other people’s life better by being of service to them and giving them value. You tend to get what you offer over time. Additionally, the people you assist may be more eager to help others. As a result, you build an upward spiral of good change that grows and strengthens as a group.

5. Be consistent, genuine, and loyal to yourself.

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”

When your words and thoughts are in sync, it shows in your conversation. Because your voice intonation and body language are now in sync with your words. When these channels are in sync, people are more likely to pay attention to what you’re saying. You’re communicating without any inconsistencies, confusing messages, or possibly phoniness.

Also, if your actions don’t match what you’re saying, you’re hurting your self-confidence in your abilities. Also, other people’s faith in you.
