Mutton shami kebabs is a lip-smacking and savour dish. People enjoy shami kababs a lot. And of course, there is a reason why people love it. It is tasty and will make you try it again and again.
Here is the recipe to make mutton shami kebabs
Boneless Mutton(500 gram), Chana dal(1 cup) ,Turmeric powder(1/2 teaspoon), Garlic(10 cloves), Chopped Ginger, Chopped Green Chillies(2),
Chopped onion(1), Chopped Mint Leaves( 1/2 cup), Salt(as required), Ghee(2 tbsp), Dry Red Chillies(4), Black pepper powder(1 tbsp), cloves(4), Cinnamon Stick, Cardamom(3), Fennel seeds(1 tbsp), Ajwain (1 tsp)
1. To start preparing the Mutton Shami Kebab recipe, in a preheated pressure cooker put in ghee, 4 dry red chilies, 1 tsp ajwain, 1tbsp fennel seeds, 3 cardamoms, black pepper powder, 4 cloves, cinnamon, 10 garlic cloves, and ginger.
2. Fry it for a few seconds and then add the mutton(boneless)
3. Saute and cook the meat for about 5 -6 minutes. Once done add some chana dal, turmeric powder, salt, and enough water till the ingredients are immersed entirely in water.
4. Cover the lid of the pressure cooker and pressure cook the mutton and dal for 5 to 6 whistles. Turn the heat to medium and simmer for nearly 4 – 5 minutes. Allow the pressure to release naturally and then open the lid of the pressure cooker.
5. If there is any water in the pressure cooker then turn on the flame and keep stirring it, until the water is evaporated.
6. Once done turn off the flame and let the shami kebab mixture cool down.
7. Add the cooled Shami Kebab mixture to the mixer jar and grate into a paste. Once done into the same jar put in the onions, chopped green chilies, and mint leaves. Pulse to combine all the ingredients.
8. Transfer the pulsed Shami Kebab mixture into a container and shape the mixture into rounds.
9. Put the Shami kababs into a preheated pan. Drizzle some ghee over the Mutton Shami Kebabs and deep fry until it turns golden brown on both sides.
10. Transfer the Mutton Shami Kebabs into a serving dish and serve hot.
Your shami kebab recipe is ready. Serve it with some chutney and enjoy it.
