Incredible India: 3 Pilgrim Places Must Visit While In Uttar Pradesh

India is recognised for its temples and religious sites. India is a masterpiece simply because it is able to survive in such unity despite its diversity, with so many different castes and communities all following their own respective religions.

Hinduism is India’s most widely practised religion, and as a result, the country is rich in religious sites and pilgrimage destinations. Uttar Pradesh is one such state that is well-known for its pilgrim tourism. It is densely fortified with holy sites and temples that draw pilgrims and religion aficionados all year.

Regardless of your religious or mythological beliefs, there are several religious sites in Uttar Pradesh that you must see.

1. Ayodhya

You can’t miss the city where it all began! Lord Rama is said to have been born in Ayodhya, an important pilgrimage destination in Uttar Pradesh. It’s where the Ramayana epic began.

The massive gatherings on the Sarayu River’s ghats will leave you speechless. Because of their exceptional architectural quality, the temples here are completely out of this world. Ramkot’s old citadel is one of Uttar Pradesh’s most popular tourist destinations.

Besides these, explore the Hanuman Garhi, Uttar Pradesh’s most visited temple, the Sarayu River, which runs through the city, and the famed Rishabhadeo Jain Temple.

2. Varanasi

Varanasi, one of India’s oldest cities, is one of Uttar Pradesh’s most well-known tourist destinations. Some describe it as exceedingly divine, while others describe it as a soul-stirring destination. When you visit Varanasi on a pilgrimage, you will be showered with benefits and spiritually stimulated.

Other than the Ganga River, you must also visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which houses one of Hinduism’s 12th Jyotirlingas, Durga Temple, that holds a particular place in Hinduism, and Kashi Chaura, one of the city’s oldest forts.

3. Vrindavan

It is, in fact, one of Uttar Pradesh’s most remarkable pilgrimage locations. Because of its religious significance, approximately a half-dozen names have been assigned to this location.

It is particularly beloved by all because it is thought that Lord Krishna spent his early childhood years in this town.
