Settled in the Himalayas, situated in the district of Chamoli in Uttarakhand, Mana is the last Indian village. It is Found near the spiritual location of Badrinath, on the banks of River Saraswati. Mana village is positioned at a height of around 3219 meters.
Mana village has several trekking and hiking areas, a waterfall, the esoteric River Saraswati, ancient temples and, exquisitely carved and decorated small houses of the villagers, and many other things which enrich Mana village or Mana gaon. And it designated as a ‘Tourism Village’.
Mana is also well-known for its woolen garments and cloths made up of sheep wool, like, shawls, hats, muffler, ashan, pankhi, carpet, etc.
The imprints of The Mahabharata are evident in India’s last village, Mana. It is assumed that the Pandavas crossed the Mana village during their last journey to heaven. There’s also a stone bridge known as Bheem Pul near River Saraswati that’s supposed to have been built by Bheema.
Apart from Vyas Gufa and Ganesh Gufa, Mana village also has a lot of tourist attractions, some of which are the ultimate nature’s paradise. Some of the places are Neelkanth Peak, which is one of the main attractions in Mana village. It is known as the ‘Queen of Garhwal’.
The next beautiful spot is, Tapt Kund, it is the holy abode of Lord Agni or Fire God. This spring is believed to possess medicinal properties, and it is said that taking a dip in the ‘Kund’ water treats skin diseases.
The Mata Murti Temple, devoted to the mother of Lord Narayan is also one of the best tourist attractions.
