Mumbai Vs Delhi: Which State Has Got The Best Street Food: Vote Now

The food war between India’s two most populous cities is far from over. Is Mumbai or Delhi the superior city? Even though the people who live in these places are radically different, there is one thing that connects them. That is their unquenchable desire for FOOD!

Both cities are home to some of the most delectable delicacies that have wowed a generation of foodies. These are the well-deserved heavy-weight (pun intended) meals that would go up against each other in a hypothetical bout between Mumbai and Delhi cuisines:

1. Mumbai’s Vada Pav and Delhi’s Samosa

The passion for vada pav is well-known among Mumbaikars, and the affection for samosa is well-known among Delhiites. For both cities, it is more than just food; it is a way of life.

This fried potato dumpling within pav can be found in almost every roadside eatery in Mumbai, while a crispy golden aloo samosa with steaming hot chai is something that every Delhiite may enjoy at any time.

2. Bombil Fry and Chicken Tikka

You haven’t eaten anything if you live in Mumbai and love seafood but haven’t had Bombil Fry/Bombay Duck. The same may be said for Delhi’s Chicken Tikka.

Bombay duck is best served with a sweet-sour gorkeri pickle, which is fried in rawa until brown. Chicken Tikka is a dish that can make you drool in seconds. Small pieces of boneless chicken are tandoor-ed using skewers on angeethi after marinating in spices and yogurt.

3. Frankie and Roll

Wraps are the most convenient food that has ever existed. You simply pick one up and eat it on the go.

But you can’t say no when it comes to Mumbai’s Frankie. Frankies are a type of wrap that has an omelette layer on the inside and is loaded with potato, cottage cheese, or vegetable cutlets, as well as a variety of sauces. In Delhi, the rolls consist mostly of a simple roti or parantha filled with a pre-cooked mixture of shredded meat, paneer, or vegetables.

4. Mumbai’s Akuri On Toast and Delhi’s Bread-Omelette

Garlic, ginger, onion, coriander, black pepper, green chillies, and garam masala combine to make a spicy scrambled egg. The finest way to eat Mumbai’s Akuri is with pav.

While the straightforward and uncomplicated bread-omelette popular in Delhi may be found anywhere. Delhiites eat it for breakfast or as an evening snack because it is so popular.

5. Gola and Delhi’s Kulfi Falooda

Dessert is always a must at the end of meals!

So, if Mumbai has ice balls formed from grated ice and dipped in various flavours, creams, and garnishes, Delhi has kulfi falooda.
