Indian food varies from different traditions, religions, and cultures. Each one has its specialty from which today we are going to talk about Jain food. It is one of the best food with delicious cuisine. Jain veg Frankie is one of those best dishes.
Here is the simple recipe to prepare Jain veg Frankie at home
1/2 cup Refined flour, 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup yogurt, some salt for taste, Oil, 3-4 chopped green chilies, 1/2 cup chopped capsicum (green), 1/2 cup chopped capsicum (yellow), 1/2 cup chopped capsicum (red), 4-5 chopped baby corn, 1/2 cup chopped purple cabbage, 1/2 cup chopped cabbage, raw banana boiled and chopped, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon Red chili flakes, 1 teaspoon soy sauce, 1
tablespoon tomato ketchup, 1/2 cup
chopped cottage cheese (Paneer), 1 teaspoon Frankie masala, 4-5 lettuce leaves.
Steps to prepare
Add whole wheat flour, refined flour, yogurt, and salt (as per preference) in a bowl and mix it to make a soft dough, add water as needed. Add some oil and knead. Let it rest for fifteen minutes.
In a pan heat one, some oil put in green chilies, and mix it for a minute. Put in green, yellow, and red capsicum and mix again for a minute.
Put some baby corn, mix and cook for half a minute. Add cabbage and purple cabbage and mix again.
Add the boiled raw banana, some salt, oregano, chili flakes, some soy sauce, and some tomato ketchup, and mix it well. Then add the cottage cheese and mix again. After that add the Frankie masala, mix politely and set it aside to cool.
Slice the dough into similar portions and roll them into balls. then roll each ball into thin five-inch diameter tortillas.
Heat a Tawa, and cook each tortilla, for about 20 to 30 seconds on each side.
On direct flame put each tortilla and let it puff.
On each tortilla, sprinkle some Frankie masala, put some lettuce over it, spread the vegetable mix on it, and wrap the tortilla to make Frankies.
Again heat the Tawa, put some oil and place the Frankie on it. Cook, each side, till it turns golden from all sides. Likewise, cook the remaining Frankies.
Keep them on a serving dish and serve it hot.
