This is a list of reasons why you should visit Bhandardara.
Pravara River
Bhandardara City is a river city. It is located along the Pravara River. This river is one of the smallest tributaries of the Godavari River. The river is one of the attractions of Bhandardara. When the monsoon is over and the water flow recedes, people can go fishing, boating, and tubing.
Forts
Fortress Climbing a fortress during the monsoon season is a dangerous task and can sometimes be life-threatening. When the rain subsides, most of these forts are accessible from trekking and hiking trails. Even families can access these forts. The three main fortresses to visit here are Ratangad Fortress, Harishchandragad Fortress, and Alan Malang Fortress. These are the most desirable fortresses for hikers and nature lovers.
Dam
Wilson Dam: One of the oldest dams in the country, built on the Pravara River in 1910. Opening the spillway gate creates two waterfalls 60-80 feet high that run down the rock below. The dam looks like heaven from the mountains. Dams are usually filled with water at the end of the monsoon, so it’s exciting to see the gate open after the monsoon.
Temple
Bhandardara, located in Maharashtra, is the home of many Hindus who led to the construction of several temples. Some of the few religious attractions here are the Agastiyaricia Shram and the Amruth Schwa Temple.
Lush landscape
After the monsoon season, Bhandardara enjoys the clear skies, especially in October. During October, the Bhandardara countryside is lush, with a clear bright sky during the day and a clear starry sky at night.
Climate
When winter begins, the climate of Bhandardara will be colder and more comfortable in October. While camping, you can play with your loved ones and watch the stars.
