Indian festivals are full of liveliness and brightness. Along with the beautiful moments, the festivals bring many finger-licking delicacies. At the same time, Gulab Jamun ranks on the top chart in sweet dishes. And here we share a recipe to make soft, sweet, delicious Gulab Jamun at home by popular MasterChef Sanjeev Kapoor.
Steps to make Gulab Jamun
Firstly take sugar in four cups of water. Cook the sugar until it gets dissolved in the water properly. Then add cardamom powder and mix it well to have a rich taste and smell. At the same time, keep the sugar syrup warm.
Secondly, make the dough:
Mix milk powder, refined flour, and soda bicarbonate in a bowl.
Add yogurt and oil and make a soft dough.
Keep in mind that do not over-knead the dough.
Make the dough into small balls.
Thirdly, heat oil in a Kadai. Then deep fry the balls in the oil until they turn brownish on a low flame. Then, remove the small balls and soak the extra oil on tissue paper. This makes the Gulab Jamuns less oily.
Lastly, keep the fried balls in the hot sugar syrup for fifteen minutes, or keep it until it gets fluffy. Once you are done, enjoy the soft, sweet, and delicious Gulab Jamun.
You can also store the Gulab Jamun for the future in your freezer and enjoy them anytime you want.
