Ingredients needed to prepare custard icecream:
1 cup sugar,1/4 all-purpose flour,1/2 spoon salt,3-4 cups milk, 3-4 eggs, 1-2 pints of heavy whipping cream,2-3 spoons of vanilla extract, tutti frutti (optional).
5 Steps to prepare it :
The first step – In a pan, add sugar, flour, salt, and milk. Cook and stir it well on medium flame Until it’s well thickened. Reduce the flame to low and cook it for some more time (2-3 minutes). Off the flame.
Second step – In a bowl, whisk the mixture into eggs, return it to a pan. Whisk it constantly. Cook and stir for 2-3 minutes, immediately remove from the heat once cooked.
The third step – Transfer it to a bowl, place the bowl on ice water for some time. Stir it for 1-2 minutes. Put a plastic wrap on the surface of the custard. Refrigerate it for several hours or you can keep it overnight.
Fourth step – Add some cream and vanilla and stir it thoroughly. Add some tutti frutti if preferred.
The fifth step – Transfer the mixture into popsicle molds and cover the lids. Keep it in a freezer for 6-7 hours or until it is settled. Once done, remove it from the refrigerator. Dip the mold into hot water so the ice cream is easily removed.
